Oracle DBA - Los Angeles

Santa Monica based software product company has an immediate need for a Oracle DBA/Developer.


All candidates must be a US Citizen or Greencard holder.
What you will need?

- 6+ years of Engineering experience.

- 7+ years production DBA support including most recent versions of Oracle RAC database.

- 4+ years experience with Unix and/or Linux.

- 2+ years performing operational procedures and maintaining records.

- 2 + years developing and testing production utilities.

- Exposure to mentoring team members.

- Experience with Oracle database backup and recovery.

- The ability to communicate issues and work in a team oriented environment toward their resolution.

- Understanding of Data Modeling Concepts including normalization.

- 3+ years in a 24x7 data center providing operations support within a faced paced environment with minimal supervision.

- Self-motivated and willing to learn new concepts, technologies and processes.

- Successful working with technical as well as non-technical members of the team.

- Successful working in a fast-paced, technical environment.

What you will be doing?

- Provide pl/sql support to developers and programmers.

- Familiarity and adherence of best practices in database management.

- Participate in on-call rotation support in an operational environment.

- Serve as a resource to Software Engineers in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from conception, design, implementation and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.

- Accomplish aggressive goals and meet strict deadlines.

- Remain current on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility.

- Provide mentoring for Database Administration team members.

- Assist in the growth and management of technical team members with regard to current technology trends.

- Be an active participant in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
