SQL DBA / Developer


Rockville based software company is currently seeking a Senior SQL DBA / Developer to join their growing team!

This position is FULL-TIME and local candidates are only considered.

What you will need?

- 5+ years of SQL DBA experience + Developer experience

- Build database scheme, tables, stored procedures and permissions

- Ability to fine tune stored procedures for maximum performance

- Work closely with the development teams to determine best practices

- Set up data sharing and disk partitioning

- Develop database utilities and automated reporting

- Create scripts for task automation

- Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements

- Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency

- Monitor systems and platforms for availability

- Responsible for backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover

- Restore and recover corrupted databases

- 2+ years of mission critical support experience in 24/7 environment with busy applications


What you will be doing:

- Responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting SQL database infrastructure

- Troubleshooting complex issues as they arise

- Develop and document database typology/architecture for online environments

- Back-up and Recovery
