SQL DBA
Santa Monica based media company is currently seeking a Senior SQL DBA to join their growing team!
The company has a proven track record for SUPERIOR quality of work and pretty much reinventing media!
This position is FULL-TIME and local candidates are only considered.
What you will need?
- 5+ years of SQL DBA experience
- 3+ years of running SQL administration on a LINUX or Solaris OS
- 2+ years of mission critical support experience in 24/7 environment with busy applications
- Ability administering 50+ databases, of which 10 are customer facing production databases.
- Working in a LAMP environment is highly desirable.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting SQL database infrastructure
- Troubleshooting complex issues as they arise
- Develop and document database typology/architecture for online environments
- Administer 50+ databases in a high traffic and distributed OLTP environment
- Expert knowledge designing,, creating, and administering databases larger than 100 Gbytes.
