MySQL DBA - Developer - Reston, VA

Reston software product company is currently seeking a MYSQL DBA. They are a rapidly growing company that has had a reputation of success and growth.

This position is FULL-TIME and all candidates must be a US CITIZEN, Green-card, or EAD holder.
- No Corp-to-Corp arrangements.

What you will need:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a database administrator with at least 2 years
experience with MySQL.
• Experience with MySQL row based replication.
• Minimum of 5 year's experience developing database components/objects including
tables, indexes, foreign keys, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Advanced level experience managing databases within CentOS.
• Experience supporting and managing large, complex database environments where
single databases easily exceed 1 terabyte.

What you will be doing:
• Manage the backup and restore process for all databases in conjunction with the System Admin team.
• Support core database processes used to build and maintain the companies system.
Support includes monitoring load times, long running processes, slow processes, and low level database/os resource issues.
• Support the development team with database related tasks and query/process optimizations.
• Work with development and systems team to support Hadoop/HBase cluster.
• Manage the client specific databases and work with services team to ensure all client specific database problems are resolved quickly.
